After 3 years in the U.S. Army, in 1973, I graduated from The Ohio State University with Bachelor of Arts in political Science with honors and a Phi Beta Kappa designation. A Juris Doctor with honors degree was awarded in 1978 from The University of Arkansas at Little Rock. I have attended numerous courses and seminar training related to the mortgage banking industry. In 1979, The Mortgage Bankers Association of Arkansas elected me as President of the association.

I have been a licensed real estate broker since 1975. I have also participated in the development of subdivisions and the construction of single-family homes.
